▬▬▬▬▬▬ What You'll Learn ▬▬▬▬▬▬
Whether you're just starting your DevOps career or you've been learning for a while and feel stuck, this video covers the exact mistakes that slow most engineers down — and what to do instead.

You'll learn why focusing on tools instead of DevOps concepts is the #1 career killer, why certifications alone won't get you hired in today's market, why sandbox learning gives you a false sense of progress, and why being invisible online is costing you opportunities you don't even know exist.

This isn't theory. These are lessons from my own DevOps career, from engineers I've worked with, and from thousands of students in our DevOps bootcamp — including Isreal, who went from struggling with certifications to landing a DevOps role in the UK, and explaining Jenkins pipeline optimization better than candidates with years of experience.

This video covers the core networking fundamentals every engineer needs to know - from basic IP addresses to advanced Kubernetes networking. We'll follow a simple approach: watch how one application grows from a single server to a complex cloud system, and learn each networking concept exactly when it becomes necessary.

▬▬▬▬▬▬ What You'll Learn ▬▬▬▬▬▬
→ IP addresses, DNS, ports, and network interfaces explained simply
→ How virtualization and VMs changed networking
→ Cloud networking: VPC, subnets, security groups, NAT Gateway (AWS)
→ How Docker networking works (bridge networks, overlay networks, port mapping)
→ Kubernetes networking deep dive: pods, CNI, services, Ingress, network policies

Networking is one of the most important — and most skipped — foundations for DevOps, cloud, and software engineers. In this video, I'll walk you through how networking actually works, from a single physical server all the way to containers and Kubernetes, using one practical real-world example the whole way through.

No dry theory. Just concepts that finally make sense.

Let me show you the fastest transition path.&#xA;&#xA;You already have the hardest part: programming logic and problem-solving. Skip Windows - learn Linux.&#xA;&#xA;Month 3-4: Infrastructure as Code. This feels familiar - you&#39;re coding infrastructure instead of applications. Terraform is just functions and modules. You&#39;ll pick this up fast. Month 5: CI/CD pipelines. You understand build processes, now learn automated deployment. Month 6: Kubernetes and containerization. Conceptually simple - operationally complex. Focus on practical deployment scenarios.&#xA;&#xA;Your advantage? You understand application architecture, APIs, and scalability concerns. DevOps engineers from sysadmin backgrounds struggle with this. You won&#39;t. Your risk? Ignoring the operations side - monitoring, logging, incident response. <title>What Most Engineers Get Wrong About AI and Career | Kelsey Hightower</title>
      <link>https://youtube.com/watch?v=tCehFMwjWqM</link>
<description>I sat down with Kelsey Hightower—the engineer who helped build Kubernetes, reached the top at Google as a Distinguished Engineer, and walked away from it all in 2023 when he retired at age 42 to ask bigger questions about technology and what really matters.&#xA;&#xA;𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲-𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳:&#xA;► Grab your DevOps Career Guide: https://bit.ly/4qvUMvV&#xA;► Fast track from Zero to DevOps expert: https://bit.ly/4bJzd6r&#xA;&#xA;▬▬▬▬▬▬ 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗼 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲! 🙌 ▬▬▬▬▬▬ &#xA;👉 Control Plane provides a unified platform to deploy, secure, and manage your entire multi-cloud infrastructure from one place.&#xA;👉 Check them out for a 30-day free trial: https://controlplane.com/&#xA;&#xA;This isn&#39;t your typical tech interview. It&#39;s about the patterns we keep repeating—the complexity trap we fell into with Kubernetes, the same mistakes happening now with AI, and the choices that separate engineers who adapt from those who get left behind.&#xA;&#xA;Kelsey shares the learning approach that took him to Google&#39;s highest engineering level, the hard truth about letting go of ego after retiring, and why the DeepSeek breakthrough proves we have more control over AI than the hype wants us to believe.&#xA;&#xA;From a $35 book and working fast food to building his career on his own terms at the highest level—his path breaks all the rules and shows what&#39;s actually possible.&#xA;&#xA;This conversation will change how you think about AI, your career, and building things that last.
